Weird. It's like the “%” and Input glitch, but it doesn't freeze the entire editor, and can actually use the block.

Edit: It freezes the editor, you just have to look at the blocks section.
Interesting! Here's my browser info:

Oh I'm too lazy to update lol… It's not like something big or stuff.

I think this isn't an OS-sepcific bug, but more like the bug with doing an “%” symbol and then adding an boolean. It stacks all the blocks in the selection bar section too, like this bug.
No, but it helps to have browser information as well, just so other people can see and we don't waste time telling others that there's no need to send our browser info

Why don't you just insert the block in these places?
This isn't about @Maximouse's code, it's about an “all at once” block. Let's try to keep on topic

You can do this when cou create a new block! There's a checkbox, under the add parameters thing.
Yep, which is part of the reason I'm hesitant to support this; it's a neat idea but pretty pointless.

I think that they 1. can sense it and 2. don't even need to, it will trigger a JavaScript event or similar, but don't quote me on that! But that's how it works, most likely.
Ok, well if it's viable, I like that idea!

How would you display the name, would anyone be able to make a mockup?
I would say, either like this:
when this sprite clicked - name: myscript:: events :: hat //or
when this sprite clicked - name: [myscript]:: events :: hat
or like this:
when this sprite clicked //name: myscript
Sorry, my photoshop skills are not good so I used scratchblock, an awesome thing.
I like the second, although maybe the input could be a different colour to make sure people know it's a name, not part of the script? Maybe the colour of comments?

What do you think about my ideas which didn't loaded somehow? The ctrl+c event hat block?
(I've read them now ) I'm not sure it'd be viable, since I don't know if scratch could even sense someone pressing ctrl/cmd. But it sounds like a good idea, although maybe as well as the “copy to clipboard” block.

oh yeah.

but perhaps it could be an option in the project report reason drop down.
Why would it? You can't report someone for abusing the report system by.. reporting a project?
Not for abusing the report system, for abusing the “Explore” algorithm.

Weak Support

While this could be useful in the circumstance you said, that circumstance is pretty specific, and there aren't many other times when this would be useful. Also, this could have the (although small) possibility for private messaging, using something like the script below.

when green flag clicked
if <(username) = [-Accio-]> then
copy [Private Message] to clipboard::control
end
You could do the same thing with
When green flag clicked
if <(username) = [whiteandblackcat]> then
say [Private Message]
end
but because anyone could see it by going inside the project, it's ok.
Although I do think there would definitely need to be a confirmation message, such as "Copy to clipboard?"

Okay, this block is garbage.
So I think that the final idea the team should implement is:
  • You can give hat blocks a script name
  • You do this by right-clicking on them
  • They have no name by default
  • You have a block to stop a script by name
I agree with all of this! How would you display the name, would anyone be able to make a mockup?

I don't think scratch directly does updates to the forums, I'm pretty sure that's done by DjangoBB, and I heard that they were no longer doing updates, which is part of the reason we don't have 3.0 scratchblocks.
If it were viable though, I'd love to see this!
don't hold me to this i saw it earlier today but idk how old the post was
No, the Scratch Team has a fork of DjangoBB.
Yep, but I'm not sure if they have full control over that.

You should try to make a pen project, because that's more or less whar you're gonna do when you code in any other programming language. And you have more freedom.
Yeah, but I'm lazy and only really use scratch because of sprites & the costume editor ;-;
now i'm just making excuses sigh
But with sprites you can't make something like the good old games with vector displays!
Okay, that's not a convincing reason …
Want to move to my profile? This is getting off topic

Yep, it does! And I agree - it's not the most complicated or inconvenient workaround but it can be a hassle, which is why I would support this if it were actually clear what the OP meant exactly.

505: Quote and Snip Button at 9:20:20 AM 30/6/20204176153
Yep, I like this! Maybe a better application of this would be that if you highlighted part of a post, then pressed “quote”, it would only quote the highlighted text, sort of like when sending emails? Although I'm not sure how viable that would be.
Although I do like the auto-snip if we can think of a good name & it would be viable.
504: pen blocks for the background at 9:18:16 AM 30/6/20204176148
I don't feel I have anything more to say, especially since I don't really use pen, but I'm following the discussion so I'll pop in if anyone else posts

No, it will stop stuff when something becomes true while stuff is running.
THEN WHY ARE THERE SO MANY POSTS FROM THE OP SAYING IT'S NOT A LOOP
Scenario 1: If the condition is met BEFORE the code is ran, it would skip the entire code as soon as it starts to run.
Scenario 2: If the condition is met DURING the code, it would immediately stop what it was doing and skip whatever remains.
Scenario 3: If the condition ISN'T met BEFORE the time the code finishes, it would do nothing.
We *think* this is what the OP meant
