A suggestion:
For the username block, you could use scratch-api to attempt to use an existing user session, and if there isn't one, return null, and if there is one, return the username. I don't know whether this is a viable solution or not, or ehether it even needs a solution, but I think it would be cool.
That's not possible (I think) due to cookies.
And CORS.
Oh ok.

And if you want to make it instantaneous you can just do
when green flag clicked
set pen size to (1)
forever
draw
end

define draw
erase all :: pen
go to x: (starting x) y: (starting y)
pen down
go to [mouse pointer v]
pen up
That is an excellent point - that should always work.

Hello peoples! So, I'm thinking of making an extension, but I'd like to put it directly into the scratch gui code. Sadly, I haven't got a clue what I'm doing in that regard, so I have some questions. If you can provide answers, or links to topics that answer them, that would be greatly appreciated. Right, here are my questions:

1) I am not using a localhost or github to host this, I am using glitch and whenever I go to scratch-local-monitor.glitch.me (that's my project) it returns this :
and when I view the source by appending view-source: to the front of the url, it gives me this:

So this is bad, obviously, and I'd like to know how to fix it. You can actually view the source at glitch.com/edit/#!/scratch-local-monitor.

2) What file should I add my extension to?

3) Is there a server file somewhere that routes the pages, or is it all static? If so, where? Because my extension kind of needs a server.

That's all for now (I think), thanks for reading this and answering it if you do answer it.

Now I'll go and eat some chocolate or something.

So, like @deck26 said, you could use pen. To do that, you'd do something like this:

when green flag clicked
set pen size to (1)
forever
draw // custom block defined below
end

define draw // run without screen refresh
pen up
clear
go to x: (starting x) y: (starting y)
point towards [mouse pointer v]
pen down
repeat until <touching [mouse pointer v]>
move (1) steps

end
Alternatively, you could do it using clones, but that would be a bit more difficult as you'd probably have to do some trigonometry… but if you want to know how, then I'd be happy to help.

Who took your order?: @pufferfish101007
Was your order what you expected?: It was better.
Was it on time?: Yes
Good points: Everything, but there were one or two bad points
Things for us to improve: 1: Try not to make the song repetitive as it gets boring soon 2: Ummmmmmm you can find something to improve here
Overall rating?: Out of what? If out of five then 6, if out of 10 then 15 and if out of 100+ then 10000000000³+
Thanks so much! I will bear that in mind for future songs.

Hi, are we still working on this? I hope so, some instrument/music ideas:

There could be music to go on top of the background sounds so to make the mood change like when you escape or when you get hurt, (that would mean turning down the volume of the background sounds when it happens

Hmm, not sure how that would work - but yes, I like the idea! Anyway, it's not our job to actually do the code for playing the sounds.

So I'm trying to import music into scratch and it's been at least 20-30 minutes and it's still importing, is there something that I'm doing wrong.
It could be that it's the wrong type of fule - I think it needs to be .mp3 or .wav.
